Long time no blog
It has been a while.
I mentioned RealBot in my previous post. Well I had to be honest so I pulled the plug out of that project. Lets face it, writing a Bot for a game that exists for years, in a world where an internet connection is getting cheaper and cheaper. To be short, no need for bots. And to be even more short; it is no use!
Regardless if it is no use, I think it is best for me to focus on one thing at a time and finish it. RealBot has been fun, but now it is time to move on. In fact, i did a lot of other stuff already, but I've never really said "RealBot is done, no more!".
So, I say it once more, RealBot is done! No more RealBot.
What do I focus on instead? Well, for starters, get done with my study. Spend some more time playing my piano. And also get more into web programming.

RealBot?
Well what do you know, recently I have been toying with RealBot again and began rewriting and fixing portions of code. Check out google code for its source if you are interested.

Counter-Strike ... made flat
You've probably heard of Counter-Strike. You know, the great mod, which later was bought by Valve.
There is also a 2D version of it. It is out for a long time, but in case you did not know about it you should really give it a try.
Hence, there is a new version in the making (also for some time). It caught my attention though, there are still a few things i'd like to see different in a 2D approach on one of the best shooters out there.
I won't tell you what though; because it would ruin my own attempt of creating Counter-Strike 2D...

Viva la Vida!
In case you did not know. I love Coldplay.
I have bought all their CD's and LP's (although I had to borrow a player for the LP's...). I don't have the mixes or whatsoever; I'd rather stick with the 'real deal'.
And now, their new album "Viva La Vida or Death And All His Friends" is out. To be honest, you have to get used to it. It is still Coldplay, but you can sense some U2 flavors in it for sure. That is not a bad thing at all, because I absolutely love this CD. Its new, and uncomparable with their previous CD X&Y (which resembled a lot like A Rush Of Blood To The Head).
In short, if you like Coldplay, you will like their new album. Also, if you like it, buy it will ya?

Ruby On Rails Conference 2008
So I've heard about Ruby for some time. I dug into the site of ruby on rails and "got exited". I decided to sign up for the Ruby On Rails conference in Holland at the HVA on the 10th of June 2008.
It was pretty impressive, but also very abstract. Some topics could be applied to any programming language. So from being 'excited' I went to less excited. Nevertheless it brought a lot of valid points, and it really got me interested to do some Ruby project some time.
Do you also want to get excited? oh lah lah!
